Clínica Lusíadas Almada is integrated into an exclusive, internationally recognized group, accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the most important US entity in the accreditation of health organizations.
In 2018, Clínica Lusíadas Parque das Nações became the first clinic to hold this accreditation in Portugal, along with the Clínica Lusíadas Parque das Nações.
International Accreditation
With a clinical staff mainly consisting of doctors who are part of the Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa team, this clinic is committed to the quality and safety of its clients. Within this context, we guarantee the necessary articulation of services for cases which require more specialized health care or supplementary procedures.
Lusíadas Saúde was the first private Portuguese group to obtain JCI certification.
Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa was the first private hospital in Lisbon to carry this certification (April 2015), in compliance with the rigorous International Patient Safety Goals, obligatory for accredited entities. These goals include reduction of risk of infections associated with medical care and reduction of fall risk.
In April of 2018, JCI once again attributed its seal of excellence to Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa. This assessment was the result of a new audit and evaluation process. This process involved evaluation of more than 1200 requirements related to patient safety and clinical standards, and also non-clinical aspects, including customer service, and management and organization of the hospital unit. For the first time, the audit was also conducted at Clínica Lusíadas Almada and Clínica Parque das Nações, which in turn became the first clinics in Portugal to undergo this service quality assessment.
In 2018, Clínica Lusíadas Almada became the first clinic to obtain this accreditation from the Joint Commission International, together with Clínica Lusíadas Parque das Nações.
