He graduated in Medicine at the Santa Maria Hospital.Faculty of Medicine of Universidade Clássica de Lisboa in 1984.
Completed the General Internship at the Santa Maria Hospital in 1986.
In 1989 he joined the Permanent Staff of the Army Health Service integrating the Imaging Service of the Main Military Hospital.
In 1990 he started the Complementary Internship in Radiodiagnosis in the Radiology Service of Santa Maria Hospital, directed by Prof. Dr. Gama Afonso, dedicating himself to Neuroradiology with Prof. Dr. Jorge Guedes Campos.
In 1994 completed the Internship in Radiodiagnosis, acquiring the degree of Hospital Assistant in this specialty.
Since 1998 his activity has been in the private sector, in various institutions; Hospital de Santa Maria, Hospital Militar Principal, Hospital da Marinha, Centro de T.C. de Setúbal, IMI, Centro de Radiodignóstico de Santa Maria, Centro Diagnóstico Ressonância Magnética, Centro de Ressonância Magnética de Setúbal, Centro de Imagiologia, Cediagno, Clínica UNIMED Cascais, Hospital Lusíadas Amadora and Clínica Lusíadas Oriente.
Since January 2020 he is the coordinating physician of the Imaging Unit at Clínica Lusíadas Oriente.
