Breve CV

Degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, completed in July 1996, and conclusion of the specialty in ophthalmology in July 2003.
Since April 2015 has the degree of consultant as per the medical career in ophthalmology.
With a vast surgical curriculum in oculoplastics (blepharocalasis, entropion, ectropion, cysts, chalazio); tear ducts (classic and laser dacryocystorhinostomies (DCR), tear duct probing); conjunctiva (pterygium with transplant); strabismus; anterior segment (cataract and glaucoma); posterior segment (intravitreal injections).
With extensive experience in performing and evaluating the most varied exams, namely fluorescein or Indocyanine Green angiography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), among others.
Participation in several clinical trials of phase III and IV, having several articles published.
Participation in pre-graduate training in medicine, regarding the chair of ophthalmology at the University of Minho's medical course, lecturing the theoretical and practical part of the curricular subject. Participation in post-graduate training in ophthalmology, having mentored the complementary ophthalmology residency.
