Bachelor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lisbon (1987).
Residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Dr. Alfredo da Costa Maternity Hospital (1990–1996).
In 1997, she began working in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Professor Fernando da Fonseca Hospital, where she pursued a hospital-based career for 23 years.
Master’s degree in Breast Pathology from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, under the supervision of Prof. Miguel Prates (2001–2003).
Achieved the rank of Consultant in the Hospital Medical Career Track in the specialty of Gynecology and Obstetrics (2005).
Subspecialty in Gynecologic Oncology from the Portuguese Medical Association (2015).
Course in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery, University Hospital Complex of A Coruña, under the supervision of Dr. Benigno Acea (2015).
She was a member of the Gynecology Department and the Breast Pathology Unit at CUF Sintra and CUF Cascais Hospitals (2020–2026).
