Degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Havana in Cuba, where she also did her specialty in Ophthalmology, which she completed in 1989, with 19 marks.
Admitted to the Portuguese Medical Association in 2000 and to the College of Ophthalmology in 2001.
Hospital Assistant in 2002 (S. Marcos Hospital).
Graduate Hospital Assistant in 2015 (Hospital Santa Maria Maior E.P.E.).
Senior Graduate Hospital Assistant in 2020 (Hospital Santa Maria Maior E.P.E.).
Director of the Ophthalmology Service at the Hospital Santa Maria Maior E.P.E. Barcelos since 2016.
Throughout her career she has attended numerous courses mainly related to Medical and Surgical Retina, Electrophysiology and Low Vision, as well as multiple national and international conferences.
She has authored and co-authored several scientific papers.
She has a vast experience in Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Age Macular Degeneration (AMD), Retinal degenerative diseases, Glaucoma, Cataracts and Low Vision.
