Bachelor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon (2005).
Postgraduate degree in Military Health; served as a Naval Medical Officer (2005–2014).
Postgraduate degree in Health Care Management from ISEG, since 2021.
Specialist in General Surgery since 2014 and Senior Resident since 2022.
He has a particular focus on hernia and abdominal wall surgery, including the treatment of complex hernias and the use of minimally invasive and adjunctive techniques, such as BOTOX and intraoperative fascial traction (IFT), whenever indicated.
Fellow of the European Board of Surgery in Abdominal Wall Surgery (FEBS-AWS) by the UEMS.
He was a founding member of the Portuguese Society of Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery and served as its President from 2023 to 2025.
His clinical practice focuses on the individualized assessment of each patient, the appropriate selection of the surgical technique that best serves the patient’s needs, and ongoing care throughout the entire treatment process.
