Carried out basic research at the University of Minho, Instituto de Investigação em Ciências da Vida e da Saúde.
Developed several research protocols, some with international partnerships, on the topic of minimally invasive surgery and natural orifices.
During training, carried out several international internships in renowned services, Holland, Spain and Greece.
Reviewer for the indexed International journal "Journal of Urology".
Was invited to participate in the World Congress of Endo-Urology (Istanbul 2012), presenting the highlights in a plenary session and moderating a poster session related to percutaneous surgery.
