With over 20 years of experience, our group is renowned in the health care sector and has six Joint Commission International accreditations.
This distinction from JCI is an efficient management and hospital health and safety assessment tool and reinforces the innovation and differentiation of Lusíadas Hospitals and Clinics pertaining to the safety of the processes and procedures which involve patients, its internal operations, and the quality of service provided.
JCI has been accrediting health organizations since 1999, and since then approximately 450 public and private health institutions in 50 countries have been accredited or certified by the organization.

Our innovative International Patient Care Department does away with physical barriers, interlinking the Lusíadas Saúde Group care offer with the heightened customization required for international clients.
Lusíadas Saúde currently has hospitals which guarantee provision of higher quality clinical services in the areas of medicine and surgery, as well as a hospitalization protocol similar to that of an outpatient center.

This search for excellence resulted in obtaining accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI). Lusíadas Saúde was the first private group in Portugal to be accredited by this organization, through a process which involved all of Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa and Hospital Lusíadas Porto employees.
This process was conducted by international experts who followed a list of approximately 1,200 criteria, encompassing international patient safety goals and clinical and non-clinical standards, namely for functions related to management and organization of the hospital.
